LaShaunda obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in social work from Fayetteville State University in 2017. In 2023, she earned a dual master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and school counseling from Walden University. That same year, she received her clinical mental health counseling license and the National Certified Counselor credential. Additionally, she obtained her Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist license in September 2024. LaShaunda has clinical counseling experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families who are facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, loss, substance use, and mood disorders. She believes that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach and employs an integrative theoretical orientation. This approach includes person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, family systems therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing techniques. Outside of her professional work LaShaunda enjoys spending time with her family and friends and listening to good music.
