Julie Gainer – BSW, M. ED, MHA, LCAS Clinician

Julie Gainer joined Nazareth Child and Family Connection in 2015 as a counselor in our outpatient services, focusing on substance abuse and addiction. Julie completed her Bachelor’s in Social Work and her Master’s in Education specializing in counseling at UNC-Greensboro. Julie later completed her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Pfeiffer University in 2013. She began working with substance treatment groups in 2007 and became credentialed through the NC Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in 2013. Prior to working at Nazareth, Julie worked primarily in health care including Hospice of Rowan County, Community Alternatives Program, Rowan Regional Medical Center and the Southeastern Diabetes Initiative through Cabarrus Health Alliance. Since 2002, Julie also has had the opportunity to be involved with a non – profit group, Circle of Hope to provide support for parents who have lost a child. Julie lives in Salisbury with her husband, 3 dogs and a cat. She has 3 adult children, 2 bonus children, 5 wonderful grandchildren and 3 granddogs and 1 grandcat.
